Namaste,
When it comes to weight loss, it’s easy to think that it’s simply a matter of calories-in vs calories-out. While that does play a role, our bodies are far more complex. Sleep quality, stress levels, hormones, muscle mass, daily movement, nutrition, and overall lifestyle habits all influence our health and body composition.
Personally, I prefer focusing less on the number on the scale and more on measures such as the waist-to-hip ratio, which can provide valuable insight into overall health and metabolic well-being.
This is where yoga can be a wonderful practice. Regular yoga helps us move more, build strength, improve mobility, manage stress, sleep better, and develop a healthier relationship with our bodies. Rather than chasing quick results, yoga encourages sustainable habits that support long-term health.
