The practice can be done in the morning or evening. If done in the morning, the practice can be energizing, keeping your energy levels high during the day. If done in the evening, it helps to get rid of the stress accumulated during the day and refreshes you.
Preferably, do the practice on an empty stomach. If you have had a large meal, maintain a meal gap of ~4 hours or ~2 hours following a snack.
Time – making time for yourself & showing up to your practice everyday is the biggest challenge. The best way to overcome, is to invite your family or a buddy to join you in this journey. Try to fix a time in the day that works best for you to do your practice, that way you can prioritize your day around the practice.
Any clothes that you are comfortable in
Just yourself, a thick towel or bedsheet that can be folded & used as a support for your knees or to prop you up in sitting & a yoga mat. If you don’t have a mat, its totally okay to do it on a hard surface if you are comfortable.
Remember to listen to your body . Do the poses just to the point of discomfort & not pain.
In Yoga its not about the length or the number of times you do your practice, It’s more about the quality of practice and how consistent you are with it.
I will give alignment cues for all the asanas (poses) throughout the practice. In case the pose is still not right I’ll help you get into the pose by giving cues to you directly during practice . Also after class you can stay back & ask me any questions.
